‘Air’ your new mattress
It is normal for a new mattress to have an odour from the manufacturing process. This will disappear after a few days.
Do not bend or fold your mattress
Excessive bending or folding of your mattress will damage the spring unit and will invalidate the guarantee.
Getting used to your new bed
A new bed may feel strange at first as you become accustomed to the new sleeping surface. Give it time (up to 6 weeks) for your body to adjust.
Turn and rotate your mattress regularly
A new mattress should be rotated and flipped over every 2 weeks for the 1st 3 months, then every 4-6 thereafter. One sided mattresses only need rotating.
Allow for settlement of the fillings
All mattresses will have some degree of settlement throughout their lifespan. This is normal and continued rotations will even the settlement out.
Protecting your new mattress
A mattress protector will keep your new mattress clean and hygienic. The manufacturer’s warranty will be invalidated if the mattress is soiled or stained.
